Personal Training

As a certified Personal Trainer, in 2002 I set up Personal Touch Training. My aim was to improve the health and wellbeing of every client I saw. I have trained hundreds of clients as a PT; some have been with me for over 18 years.

I have some clients who come to me as a PT, and some who come for nutritional help. Being active and eating well, go hand in hand, so I include specific diet information to my PT clients, and targeted exercise plans to my nutrition clients.

If you come to me as a PT client, we focus on improving  fitness and overall well-being as opposed to finding the root cause of a  hormonal problem, where my nutritionist service really comes into its own – but my expertise in both fields complement each other, and I combine them to offer you a tailored programme that is going to suit you, work for you, and deliver the results you’re looking for in the long term.

As a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) I am fully insured and I am required to undertake training each year to keep me up to date with the latest trends and research. In an ever-changing industry, this ensures my clients get the highest level of service.

I specialise in helping clients achieve their goals with:

  • weight management
  • general health, fitness and well-being

I offer one to one and group sessions in the comfort of your own home, garden or office. I also run sessions online for those who would prefer.

In 2006 I qualified as a Pilates teacher, teaching one to one and group classes locally and online. As Pilates is so important to core control, posture, injury prevention, mobility and mental wellbeing, I include it in many of my personal training and nutrition plans as well, if I think it will give you the best outcome. Again it’s all down to what your body needs and I find this out in your initial consultation.

Typical Personal Training Session

Initial Consultation

This normally lasts an hour. I like to offer a 360° approach to my sessions, understanding that all aspects of health are important if you are to truly reach your goal. With this in mind, and if appropriate, I like to delve into your current lifestyle and fitness, sleep patterns, diet and stress levels. As each session is totally about you and your goals, this is not compulsory, but it does enable a more thorough approach to your overall fitness and wellbeing.

Ongoing Sessions

Normally clients book in for 12 week blocks as this allows time for the plan to work and the results to show.  However, I offer flexible bookings which can be discussed during your Free one to one discovery phone call on (44) 07813 871 776
